I've looked at this tree every single day that I've been here in my hometown, and it never changes. The background changes every second, but that tree is as steady as a rock. If there's one thing this tree has taught me, it's that amidst trials, new experiences, crazy days, long nights, good news, bad news, and everything in between, there are certain things that never change. And those unchangeable things are the things that keep me grounded, and they're the things that remind me that it's all going to be okay. For me those things are many, but among the list is my family, my faith, my Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ, and of course, this tree that stands steady in the backyard.
