MWMW Round Two

I'm excited for our second MWMW. I love that it gives me a chance to honor and love motherhood done correctly, instead of wallowing in my self-pitty. So yay for MWMW! BUT, before we get to our awesome mamma, I have some blog business to conduct:

First, it's been far too long since our last giveaway, so I just wanted to let you know that this Friday (as in 2 days from now) there will be a giveaway that will hopefully redeem myself from the giveaway dead.

Second, if you can't wait until Friday for a giveaway, head over to this place for an awesome wall-art giveaway. All you have to do is draw a picture of a pet toy and upload it for a chance to win that sweet giraffe!

And lastly, I just want to say thank you to everybody who stops by. It is one of the best parts of my day to read your comments and e-mails. Thanks for reading, for voting, for following, and for commenting/e-mailing. You guys are awesome!

Now...let's get down to the real business. I know I've featured her before, but let's get honest, some people could be featured a billion times and there still wouldn't be words to do them justice. This week's MWMW is none other than Alex from It's A Love Story.

If you read her blog you'll get a first hand explanation of why she made the cut into my 'Amazing Moms' category. She loves her children more than life itself, and I've never seen her be anything but a kind, loving mom to her 2 little sweeties.

And though being kind, loving, patient, gentle, and sweet, are all characteristics I long for, they're not the main reason why Alex is a stand-out mother to me. The other day I heard Alex say what has become my new motto:

"Sometimes you have to sacrifice yourself for the life of another."

And that, is why I love Alex. And that is why Alex is an amazing mom.

Here are some of my favorite blogs Alex has written on motherhood.
This one. This one. Of course this one. Loved this one. And this one. Couldn't leave out this one. And lastly, this one.
